What Destroy Any Website collects when you smash a webpage, how the URLs you enter are handled, and how to reach us.

Last updated: 2026-10-04

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Destroy Any Website ("we", "us", "our"), available at https://destroyanywebsite.lol (the "Service"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use our browser-based website destruction toy. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

Destroy Any Website is a visual entertainment tool. It shows you a sandboxed copy or snapshot of a webpage and lets you apply on-screen effects to it. It never modifies, attacks, or sends data to the real website you choose.

Information We Collect

1. URLs you submit. When you paste a web address and press Destroy, our servers fetch that public page once, remove its scripts, and send the copy to your browser, where it is shown in a sandboxed view. Images, fonts, and stylesheets referenced by the page are fetched by our servers on your behalf through a restricted proxy, so the target site sees our servers rather than your IP address. We never forward your cookies or login credentials to the target site. Copies of public pages and their assets may be cached briefly (typically minutes to a few hours) to make loading faster. We use the URL only to deliver the page to you and to prevent abuse. We do not build a browsing profile of the sites you destroy.

2. Your destruction session. Weapon effects, cracks, burn marks, falling elements, and resets are rendered locally in your browser. We do not record or upload what you do on the canvas.

3. Screenshots. When you press Screenshot, the image is generated in your browser and saved to your device. We do not receive or store your screenshots unless you choose to send one to us.

4. Account information (optional). The Service can be used without an account. If you choose to sign in, we collect your name, email address, and profile image provided by you or your sign-in provider (for example Google or GitHub).

5. Technical and usage data. Like most websites, we automatically receive basic information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, and pages visited. We use this to keep the Service running, measure aggregate usage, and detect abuse.

6. Cookies and similar technologies. We use essential cookies to remember your language and theme and to keep you signed in. We may use analytics and advertising cookies from third parties (see below). You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Payment information. If we ever offer paid features, payments will be handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Load and display the webpages you choose to destroy.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, such as automated requests or attempts to use the Service against third parties.
  • Understand which features are used, in aggregate.
  • Respond to your questions and support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted providers to run the Service, which may include hosting and content delivery (such as Cloudflare), analytics (such as Umami and Google Analytics), advertising (such as Google AdSense), and sign-in providers (such as Google and GitHub). These providers process data under their own privacy policies. Third-party advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites; you can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.

The websites you load into the Service are owned by third parties. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With service providers who help us operate the Service, under confidentiality obligations.
  • When required by law or in response to a valid legal request.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Destroy Any Website, our users, or others.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

Data Retention

Server logs containing URLs and technical data are kept only as long as needed for operation, security, and abuse prevention, and are then deleted or anonymized. Account data is kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures, including HTTPS encryption in transit and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@destroyanywebsite.lol. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the Service.
